Powerboat racing and delicious crawfish? Count me in!
I’ve repeatedly stated that Mudbug Madness is one of the greatest festivals in Shreveport history. A buzz grows in the Ark-La-Tex every year once the calendar reaches the fifth month. Mudbig Madness is approaching, and in just a few weeks, thousands and thousands of residents from our community and abroad will be strolling through Festival Plaza.
Each year at Mudbug Madness I find myself asking the same question; How can this festival get any better? That’s always a nearly impossible question to answer, but luckily, that question has been answered in two words…
POWERBOAT RACING.
I can’t begin to explain how excited I am for this. The funny thing is, I’m not necessarily a racing fan or a boat enthusiast. I’ve probably been on a boat five times in my entire life. Having said that, I just spent about 30 minutes watching powerboats racing on YouTube, and I am so in!
The Red River Rumble F1 Powerboat Showdown is set to go down from May 24th to 26th on the Red River, smack dab in the middle of Mudbug Madness. The event’s description has all of the details you need. You can find that below;
