It’s official: Red Lobster in Bossier City has officially closed, the store has confirmed.
This one is bittersweet because I have been going to this location for quite a long time. Years ago, I publicly stated that I had the best steak of my life at Red Lobster. Don’t get me wrong, not every steak I’ve had from Red Lobster has been the greatest, but that one day, that steak was out of this world.
I received quite a lot of flack for that hot take, but to this day, I stand firmly by that opinion. Today, we have some sad news from the horse’s (or lobster’s) mouth.
After rumors began spreading yesterday that Red Lobster closed in the blink of an eye, the store has now confirmed the news with a sign on the front door. We must point out how bizarre this closing was before we get into the sign and what it reads.
I saw at least two employees of Red Lobster in Bossier City share on their socials that they were given no head-up on the closing from their higher-ups. In fact, both employees wrote that they found out they were out of a job only once they showed up to their shift. Instead of a shift and a chance to make money, they were welcomed by a locked door. Still, to that point, they had no communication from higher-ups. I will not embed their Facebook statuses here to keep the employees anonymous.
Speculation will run wild as to what caused the sudden closure, but we won’t report speculation until we can confirm anything.
Today, there is a sign at the door at Red Lobster in Bossier City. The sign reads, “This location is closed. We look forward to serving you at another Red Lobster location in the future.”
The sign seems to lead the public to believe another Red Lobster will pop up, although I wouldn’t expect that anytime soon.
